From Bone To Blossom: Eileen Casey and Emma Barone (Cloughjordan Festival)
Sunday, July 3rd · 3:00pm – 6:00pm
The Reading Room at Sheelagh na Gig, Main Street Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary.
From Bone to Blossom is a collaborative work of poems by Eileen Casey and imaginative pen and ink drawings of trees by Co. Offaly visual artist Emma Barone, with an introduction by writer Grace Wells. Eileen Casey will read from this book and her collection Drinking the Colour Blue. Eileen and Emma will also discuss the collaborative process… of producing From Bone to Blossom. Emma’s artwork will be on exhibit throughout the festival.
Eileen Casey has published three books of poetry and a creative writing anthology. She also writes fiction and prose and is widely published. She is the 2011 winner of The Hennessy Awards, Emerging Fiction category.
Emma Barone has held 10 successful solo exhibitions to date, and her work has been featured in several publications such as the Irish Arts Review and the Irish Independent. Her works hang in public collections throughout Ireland, Europe and the United States.
